Japan inks donation agreement with Iran to help physically-impaired

According to the report of the Japanese embassy cultural center in Tehran, seven agreements with an aggregate value of 446,140 euros were signed by Japan's Ambassador to Tehran Hiroyasu Kobayashi as follows;

Donation sum up to 68,997 euros to Gilan province's physically-impaired and elderly sanatorium in a project to provide rehabilitation equipment for the disabled people of Gilan,

Donation of 71,297 euros to the center for support of physically-impaired people in Qazvin province for a project to supply the center with hydrotherapy equipment,

Donating 71,065 euros to the center for support of patients with spinal cord injuries (SCI) for a project to provide rehabilitation equipment for SCI patients in Tehran province,

Donation of 70,892 euros for project to provide dialysis device for kidney patients in Kohgiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad province,

Agreement to pay 49,052 euros to build pre-fabricated schools in Kohgiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad province to be paid to provincial education department,

To pay 44,202 euros to education department of Lorestan province to build pre-fabricated schools,

Agreement to donate 70,635 euros to Social Welfare Department in Kermanshah province to equip physically-impaired rehabilitation center.

Since year 1999, the Japanese embassy has helped governmental and non-governmental organizations within the framework of “Grant Assistance for Grassroots and Human Security Projects “ (GGP) Program.

This program has helped 125 projects in Iran in different fields of primary education, preliminary treatment, public welfare and rural development in Iran.

The Japanese government intends to continue its humanitarian and development aides to the Iranian governmental and non-governmental organizations.
