Iran proposes establishing Islamic economic hubs

Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi made the remarks speaking during a specialized panel in the Annual World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) underway in Kuching, Malaysia.

He said that feasibility studies for establishment of these hubs need to be carried out by the Organization of Islamic Organization (OIC) and Islamic Development Bank.

Expressing Iran's readiness to help carry out such feasibility studies, the Iranian minister said that the establishment of different hubs in Islamic countries, such as centers for information technology, banking services and medical and healthcare services can help provide more populations with the needed services and commodities.
