Iran private sector invited to invest in Pakistan’s NW province

Pervez Khattak extended the offer during a meeting with the Consul General of Iran in Peshawar Mohammad Baqer Beigi.

On the occasion, both sides also discussed matters of mutual interests and bilateral ties.

Pervez Khattak invited the Iranian companies to invest in different projects of the province saying that many Malaysian, Chinese, Russian and American companies are already working on deferent projects in the province.

'We are not afraid of American pressure as we give priority to our interests and will not stop our efforts to bring prosperity in the province, so we invite Iranian companies to invest in the development and industrial projects of the province,' he said.

The chief minister also congratulated the government and people of Iran on the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

In the meeting, Iranian Consul General Mohammad Baqer Beigi said that Iranian companies are planning to invest in various projects in Pakistan including infrastructure, oil and gas and especially in the China Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

He emphasized the exchange of political and economic delegations between the two countries.

The Iranian diplomat also called for the expansion of Iran-Pakistan relations especially in economic scetor.
