Iran, Estonia stress promotion of bilateral cooperation

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Women Political Leaders (WPL) Global Forum in the capital of Iceland.

The forum is attended by the leading political women around the world exchanging views about women affairs and sharing the related experiences.

'Diplomatic and commercial ties between Iran and Estonia are very promising and the two capitals are expected to witness an increase in bilateral cooperation in the fields of women and family related affairs,' Ebtekar told President Kaljulaid during the meeting.

She added that various grounds exist for expansion of cooperation between the two countries in information technology, telecommunication, tourism and handicraft industries.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is also willing to broaden bilateral cooperation mainly in the post-JCPOA era, Ebtekar continued.

Meanwhile, the Estonian president voiced satisfaction to further broaden cooperation in women related affairs with Iran noting that grounds for such cooperation are well prepared.

Information technology and telecommunication play significant role in expansion of tourism industry which all help rehabilitate the status of women in terms of economy, she said.
