Electricity generation capacity to double in Qazvin power plant: Official

He made the remarks in meeting with Qazvin Governor General Fereydoun Hemmati and a number of provincial directors in the field of water and electricity industry.

Daemi said that development plan of the power plant and modernizing the equipment are being followed up by the Ministry.

The power plant has 700 manpower and is generating almost 5 percent of country's electricity.

The plant was commissioned in 1992.
