Benin Envoy: Iran industrial capacities unknown in Africa

He made the remarks here during his 2-day visit to Markazi province.

Akibo said that Iran's progress and advancement in preceding years were noticeable, but African people have a little knowledge on Iran's capabilities.

The ambassador said that African countries have trade exchanges with mainly the United Arab Emirates, China and South Korea. Iran by introducing its capacities and capabilities may found an appropriate market in the continent.

He said the aim of his visit to Markazi is to observe industrial, agricultural and greenhouse capacities of the province, because Benin needs investors' partners in these sections, so Markazi province may role play in this concern.

Deputy Governor General for coordination in economic affairs and development of resources Saeed Farrokhi said in the meeting that trade exchanges with different African states is among main goals of the 12th government policies.

He added that the province is producing agricultural crops more than twice of its own need.

Farrokhi said that ideal situation for investment has caused many trade teams from different area of the world visit the province and many of them are building factories with joint venture plans.

The ambassador is scheduled to hold meeting with provincial economic activists, governor general, visit Aluminum Company, Flower Village in the city of Mahallat and Nakhgir Cavern.
