Iranian movie receives Listapad award

Listapad will be underway until November 10 in Belarus.

Breath is a 2016 Iranian film directed by Narges Abyar. It was selected as the Iranian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards.

Little Bahar lives a life spun from folklore and stories, always with her head in a book. But growing up in Yazd in the 1970s and ’80s, she’s at the center of a country in turmoil and the first shots are fired in a bitter and protracted war with Iraq.

'MIFF “Listapad” brings the world’s best films to Minsk. MIFF “Listapad” presents the best films from all over the world. Main Competitions of the Festival focus on new films created in former socialist countries, including CIS countries, Central and South-East Asia, Baltics, Eastern and Central Europe. The best works from the region recognized by the most prestigious festivals in Europe are competing for the main award of the Festival. “Youth on the March” Competition presents a collection of debut works from directors all over the world, acknowledged by cinema professionals and audience,' according to Listapad website.
