Iran mission in Belarus opens memorial book for victims of quake

Many high-ranking officials, diplomats, cultural figures and ordinary people put their heartfelt notes in that memorial book to extend their sympathy with victims of the fatal accident.

Iran's envoy to Belarus Mostafa Oveisi referred to presence of Belarusian officials as a sign of deep relations between the two countries.

Head of parliamentary friendship group, Belarusian officials and professors together with ambassadors of Turkmenistan,
India, South Korea, Republic of Azerbaijan and the representatives of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Ukraine and the United Nations participated in the event.

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq on Sunday night.

The quake was felt in some neighboring countries as well.

Based on the latest statistics, at least 436 people have been reported killed and over 10,000 injured in quake-stricken areas in Iran.
