Iran holds medical seminar in Japan

In the seminar, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Asadi Lari and the director general of medical equipment of Iran health ministry Dr. Masaeli elaborated on investment opportunities for Japanese companies in Iran and also on Iranian health ministry plans in this regard.

The event was organized by Iran diplomatic mission in Tokyo and by Japanese OMETA (Overseas Medical Equipment Technical Assistants).

OMETA was established under the aegis of its parent organization, Japan Medical Products International Trade Association, on July 21, 1993, having been approved as a Non-profit organization corporate by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on March 24, 2000 and registered as such on April 5 in the same year.

The third seminar of Iran-Japan work group was also held prior to the mentioned event.
Both sides discussed topics related to joint cooperation in health field and medical services in Iran.

Dr. Masaeli said another meeting is to be held with Japanese side dealing with reviewing the qualification and registration of Japanese medical equipment.

It is one of the most effective measures taken to promote bilateral cooperation and facilitate registration procedure of Japanese equipment, he added.

He also urged all those who are interested in investing in medical services field to start technical and economic reviews.

Elsewhere is his remarks, he referred to the upcoming trip to Japan within three months, saying we plan to bring 20 Japanese firms to Iran.
