'The fire has been thoroughly contained, but the fire fighters are still on the scene to ensure the cooling operation is successful,' Fathollah Haqiqi, Deputy Governor of Markazi Province told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

He also noted that the cause of the fire is under investigation and measures are underway to check safety.

The fire broke out in an oil purifier unit in Khomein industrial park around 13:30 pm local time on Friday.
